Xiaomi's newest flagship phone, Xiaomi 12 Pro, has been found on Geekbench with the best ever score for a Snapdragon 8 Gen one smartphone. This leak follows Xiaomi China's statements that the Snapdragon 8 Gen one Mobile Platform will be present in the upcoming Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphones. Xiaomi promises that the new handsets will employ Qualcomm's top-of-the-line Snapdragon SoC to provide consumers with "fastest in industry" performance. The Xiaomi 12 range is expected to have three variants, and it will be released on December 28th.
Xiaomi China has verified via its social media channels that the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro models will be powered by Qualcomm's newest Snapdragon 8 Gen one processor and would feature "industry-leading" performance. The Xiaomi 12 Pro has now appeared on Geekbench, with a single-core score of 1246 and a multi-core score of 3903 in the single-core and multi-core categories, respectively. As a result, it is the quickest Snapdragon 8 Gen one phone available.
In comparison, the Qualcomm benchmark device, the Moto X30, scored 1,234 and 3,837 in the Geekbench single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. On Geekbench 5, it can be observed that the Xiaomi 12 Pro, which is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, has surpassed the previous benchmark. In the multi-core test, however, the Xiaomi 12 Pro falls below the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 reference smartphone. The Dimensity 9000 takes the lead with a score of 4000+, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 comes in second with a score of 3900+.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro was also listed as having 12GB of RAM and running Android 12. As more companies finalize their 2022 flagship devices, the Snapdragon 8 Gen one scores are still coming in.
