The latest Camon 18 series from Tecno was available from November 29. Tecno Camon 18T model, on the other hand, was already available in the United States before the launch date. Same was the case in Pakistan when the phone, Camon 18P, was available in markets even before the smartphone was officially released.
Camon 18P might not be the most premium of the Camon 18 series but nonetheless, it is on the higher end. Tecno's Camon 18 series is an attempt to compete with the industry's big names. Tecno went back to the drawing board for Camon 18P to break out of the “budget-only” niche they had built for themselves. A fresh new design language, sophisticated cameras and perhaps an innovative new display are all on the cards.
Camon 18, like its companions in the Camon 18 Series, is first and foremost a camera phone with the gimbal technology. It has 48MP wide-angle, 2MP depth-mapper and 13MP 50mm portrait cameras in its lens cluster. The primary camera which comes with a cheap Tecno mobile price tag shoots in night and portrait modes on both photo and video.
The 50mm camera captures realistic, distortion-free portraits and has a 30x hybrid zoom. In addition, a new 'Film Master' mode allows you to capture 4K video in a variety of genres. Finally, the camera system is completed by a 16MP front camera. A 6.8" hole-punched screen houses the selfie camera. It's a 1080P panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a brightness of 500 nits.
