Since August, we've been hearing rumours about a mysterious Xiaomi phone dubbed "Ingres." Since then, we've learned additional data about it and we now have a likely market name for the device. According to a fresh rumour from Xiaomiui, the Xiaomi Ingres has a shorter model number L11, which was earlier touted as the Redmi K50 Pro, the Redmi K series' next flagship killer phone.
This phone has also just surfaced on the IMEI database, exposing several model numbers for various markets. This means the Redmi K50 Pro will be available in China, India and the rest of the world. The three model numbers for different regions are listed below.
22011211C is for China, 22011211G is for the rest of the world, and 22011211I is for India.
We can expect Redmi branding in China, Poco branding in the rest of the world and a Xiaomi moniker in India as its standard. The Redmi K50 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm's forthcoming flagship CPU, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, according to previous MIUI code rumors.
On the back, the phone is rumored to have a triple camera arrangement with a 64MP OmniVision OV64B primary sensor, an ultrawide camera and a macro lens. Although a side-mounted fingerprint sensor has been mentioned in certain rumors, renowned tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the fingerprint sensor will remain in the display.
In terms of a release date, the model numbers suggest that the Redmi K50 Pro will be available in China in January 2022 which means that a global release will have to wait until late Q1 2022.
