At its December 23 event, Huawei has formally unveiled numerous new devices, including the HUAWEI P50 Pocket and the new HUAWEI Watch D smart watch. Along with this, the Chinese manufacturing company has also displayed a pair of smart glasses that are running on HarmonyOS.

Smart glasses have increased in popularity in recent years, with firms like Meta (previously known as Facebook), Ray-Ban smart glasses, Razer's Anzu, TCL's Thunderbird, Snapchat Spectacles, and many more joining the market. Huawei entered the market in 2019 with the announcement of its first smart glasses in collaboration with Gentle Monster – though the latest smart glasses are created solely by Huawei.

Huawei's new glasses contains a bone-conductive speakers integrated into the temples, as well as an embedded version of HarmonyOS. The operating system is a lighter version with voice commands and close connection with other Harmony running items like smartphones and smart watches.

The smart glass's lenses can be quickly separated and reattached, making it simple to replace with sunglasses or even new glasses. This has undoubtedly lowered the expense of having the user to purchase a new frame or device on a regular basis and it appears to be a simple process.

With the recent gadget, the users are able to listen to music, get directions, and even make phone calls. The watch does not contain a camera on the frame, and there are no displays or projectors to display AR information. While the watch is only launched in China till now, it still remains unclear that when or where the new Huawei smart glasses will be released.
