ILT20 2024 begins: Pakistani stars to arrive soon

The second season of the International League T20 (ILT20) kicked off on Friday in Sharjah. 

The organizers opted to skip the opening ceremony this time. Sharjah Warriors and Gulf Giants will played the opening match. The game ended with a defeat for Sharjah Warriors by 31 runs. 

According to details, Pakistan cricket stars, including Pakistan T20 captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, will soon be participating in the tournament. Fans are eagerly awaiting their arrival. 

Shaheen Shah Afridi and Azam Khan will depart for Dubai on Monday after playing the final T20 match against New Zealand. Shadab Khan is also a part of their team, Desert Vipers. The franchise has acquired the services of the fourth Pakistani, Mohammad Amir. 

Desert Vipers had initially considered appointing the Pakistan T20 captain for the ILT20 as well, but keeping availability in mind, they decided to appoint Colin Munro as captain. 

Pakistan's Imad Wasim has been included in the squad by the Abu Dhabi Night Riders. The organizers have specifically displayed Shaheen's larger-than-life images at various locations in the UAE, hoping that the arrival of Pakistan stars will further boost the excitement of the league.
