The PCB chief played a pivotal role in boosting the morale of the players, setting an optimistic tone for the challenges that lie ahead

The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee, Zaka Ashraf, has paid a visit to the training camp in Pindi where the national team is practicing for the upcoming three-match Test series against Australia.

Upon his arrival, Ashraf wasted no time and engaged with the team players, holding crucial talks with prominent players and also including Test captain Shan Masood, T20I captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, Team director and head coach Mohammad Hafeez, and Chief Selector Wahab Riaz.

Expressing his unwavering confidence in the team's new management, the PCB chief played a pivotal role in boosting the morale of the players, setting an optimistic tone for the challenges that lie ahead.

He also underscored the contribution of players such as Babar Azam and Shaheen in bringing pride to the nation.

"Babar Azam is making the country proud as the number one player," said Zaka Ashraf.

"What Shaheen has done for the country can never be forgotten,"  he added.  

"We are proud of Shaheen Shah Afridi," said Mohammad Hafeez.

"Our support is always with you, Shaheen; you are an important part of the team," Ashraf concluded.

  • 3rd Test – Australia vs Pakistan – January 3-7: Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG)
