Pakistan's captain, Babar Azam, declined to comment on Mohammad Rizwan's recent tweet for oppressed Palestinians following the victory against Sri Lanka on Tuesday.

While talking in pre-match presser ahead of Pakistan-India World Cup clash, Babar was asked about Rizwan's tweet. Babar remained reserved and declined to comment on the matter. He mentioned that he is open to discussing cricket matters but not inclined to discuss issues outside the realm of the sport.

"I think it's better if we stick to talking about cricket – you are taking the conversation in another direction," Babar said.

Earlier, Pakistan secured their second World Cup victory with a six-wicket win over Sri Lanka in Hyderabad. Rizwan's exceptional unbeaten 131-run performance earned him the Player of the Match award, playing a crucial role in Pakistan's successful chase of a 345-run target.

Post the win, Rizwan took to Twitter to dedicate his century to the victims of Gaza. However, this move sparked a significant backlash from Indian fans, urging the ICC to intervene, expressing concerns about intertwining cricket and religion.

Meanwhile, the governing body stated that it's beyond the field of play and a matter between the PCB and the player, and therefore, they can't intervene in it.
