Sri Lankan white-ball captain, Dasun Shanaka, has joined Peshawar Zalmi for the ongoing season eight of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Shanaka shared the aforementioned news on his Instagram story on Friday.

The Sri Lankan captain has replaced injured Sherfance Rutherford in the Babar-led Zalmi.

West Indies all-rounder, Rovman Powell has also joined the Zalmi squad today ahead of their clash against Multan Sultans.

The injury list in HBL PSL 8 is growing as Karachi Kings pacer, Mir Hamza, was also recently ruled out of the rest of the tournament.

The left-arm pacer fractured his finger during Karachi’s first match against Peshawar Zalmi on Tuesday. He was replaced by another left-arm pacer, Akif Javed.

Meanwhile, South Africa's Wayne Parnell will also miss this year's PSL due to injury. In his place, Brathwaite has joined the Sultans’ squad.
