Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Amir shone as Pakistan defied the odds to overwhelm arch-rivals India by 180 runs and pull off a major upset in the Champions Trophy final at The Oval — on this day in 2017.

Pakistan had come into the tournament as the lowest-ranked team and lost heavily to India in their opening group match but they beat South Africa and Sri Lanka to make the semi-finals where they knocked out hosts England.

The winning-captain Sarfaraz Ahmed posted a video of his son on Twitter, recalling the historic day and naming the top performers.

"Abdullah is glad and fortunate to be the part of one of the greatest days of our life as he recalls it after watching the final of #ChampionsTrophh2017 for the 5th time," Sarfaraz tweeted.
