Bhosle has featured among the A-listers and attained the 16th spot. Meanwhile, tennis player Sania Mirza attained the 63rd rank on the list for her win in both the Wimbledon and US Open championships which were held earlier this year.
The list features 30 entrepreneurs under the age of 30 and inspiring women over the age of 80 who have taken their stories of success to the world with their dedication and hard work.

Oscar-winning Hollywood actor Hilary Swank and Sudanese supermodel Alek Wek are both included in the list, reported IANS. Established enterpreneurs such as Smriti Ngapal (sign-language interpreter) as well as women rights campaigners such as Mumtaz Shaikh are among others included in the list.
Every year, BBC selects 100 women from across the world, from influential world leaders in politics, science and entertainment to women who are less known but inspirational. “We are proud of all 100 women. Over the last two years, we’ve given more time and space on our platforms to stories and issues that affect women wherever they are in the world. The list is a way of appreciating the hard work done by women,” shared 100 Women season Editor Fiona Crack.
