Dortmund slaps English clubs with £42m asking price for Aubameyang

The forward has already scored 14 goals in 12 appearances in the league games for the Bundesliga club

German giants Borussia Dortmund have placed a £42m price tag on their star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with Liverpool and Arsenal showing interest in the striker.

The forward has already scored 14 goals in 12 appearances in the league games for the Bundesliga club.

Apart from attracting Jurgen Klopp and Arsene Wenger’s attention, Aubameyang has also come into the eyes of Spanish giants Barcelona.

However, Dortmund are not going to part ways so easily with one of their main man and this has called for putting a big price on his head.

According to Sport Bild, Dortmund would not be willing to entertain any offers unless they are above the £42m mark.

Aubameyand was named in the Bundesliga’s Team of the Year last term following his stellar year at Dortmund in which he was the club’s leading goalscorer and assist provider, the kind of traits Arsenal and Liverpool would want.

Reports have earlier suggested that the pair of Aubameyang and Marco Reus have a gentleman’s agreement in place with the club. They have pledged to not leave the club until other the one players stays put too.

Aubameyang is bound with the club in a contract till 2020 while Reus, who is also under the radar of many major English teams, is under contract till 2019.
