In Naushero Feroz district, PML-N is a strong contestant against the PPP, while in Nawabshah (also known as Shaheed Benazirabad), two PPP groups along with MQM and Sindh United Party are in the arena.
In Naushero Feroz district, THE polling will be held for Naushero Feroz district council, Moro municipal committee and 14 town committees, which are Naushero Feroz, Mithyani, Darya Khan Mari, Padidan, Bhiria City, Bhiria Road, Tharo Shah, Kandiaro, Bhorti, Darbelo, Muhabat Dero Jatoi, Khan Wahan, Mehrabpur and Halani, and 64 union councils.
Former PPP MPA Abdul Sattar Abbasi and PML-N’s Maula Bux Mubejo are strong candidates for the slot of district council chairperson in Naushero Feroz. No candidate has so far been finalised for the slot of Moro municipal committee chairman but there will be neck-and-neck competition between the PML-N and PPP .
In Shaheed Benazirabad, elections will be held for district council, Shaheed Benazirabad municipal committee, 58 union councils and eight town committees, that are Daur, Jam Sahab, Bandhi, Bucheri, Sakrand, Qazi Ahmed, Daulatpur and Shahpur Jahania.
For the slot of chairpersons of district council and municipal committee, strong competition is expected between the two PPP groups, including those of Jam Taimur, son of Jam Tamachi Unnar, Khurram Yar Brohi, Ali Akbar Jamali and Jawed Chaudhary. For the slot of municipal committee chairperson, competition is expected between two candidates, Tariq Masood Arain, son of PPP leader Chaudhary Abdul Qayoom Arain, and Haji Azeem Mughal, who is being supported by PPP leader Ziaul Hassan Lanjar. Apart from this, MQM and SUP candidates are expected to give a tough time to the PPP in the district.
