LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge sought comments from the Shad Bagh SHO on Friday on a petition filed by a man seeking registration of a case against a boy and his family for forcing the petitioner’s daughter into embracing Islam. Jerome John submitted that her daughter Donia Maria had been studying at a Faisalabad college. He said her college fellow Alamdar had married her after forcing her to embrace Islam. He said Alamdar had later taken her to England. He said that when he contacted Alamdar’s family, they had asked him to forget his daughter. John said the SHO had refused to register an FIR against Alamdar and his family. He requested the court to direct the officer to register an FIR against them.
