Safety awareness project launched

The Pakistan Emergency Response Learning Program (PERLP) has launched a project which will see 100 self-safety awareness sessions for 25,000 students of the capital in collaboration with Capital Administration and Development Division and the Federal Directorate of Education. During an event on Thursday at the Islamabad Model Postgraduate College H-8, Ali Reza, PERLP CEO, and Muhammad Shahid, a safety expert, shared videos and images to sensitise students and highlighted the need to deal with disaster situations to save lives. Under the project, PERLP will hold seminars, lectures and various other programmes in order for propagating awareness regarding the handling of emergency situations. Principal of the college, Prof Khurshid Ahmad Shakoori, said in his address that it is the national duty of our generation to impart awareness and insight to our youth.
