Shahryar Khan felicitates Pakistan team for successful Zimbabwe tour

PCB chairman admires the teamwork shown by the players under Shahid Afridi and Azhar Ali

The Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shahryar Khan congratulated the Pakistan team and the management for winnings the twin series against Zimbabwe.

Pakistan whitewashed Zimbabwe in the two-match T20 series under the captaincy of Shahid Afridi, while they downed Zimbabwe 2-1 in the ODI series under Azhar Ali’s leadership.

“My heartiest congratulations to captains Azhar Ali, Shahid Afridi, manager Intikhab Alam, head coach Waqar Younis, the entire team and management for winning both T20I and ODI series,” said Shahryar in a press release by PCB.

Shahryar admired the teamwork shown by the Pakistan players against Zimbabwe.

"It has been a superb achievement with the team showing unity, discipline and ability. Even on losing the second ODI we put up a good fight and made up for it by our thumping win in the final ODI.”

The Octogenarian specially mentioned the contribution of the newcomers and also Shoaib Malik for their superb performances.

"Special felicitation to Yasir Shah, Rizwan, Aamir Yamin, Shoaib Malik and Bilal Asif for their superb performances. The twin series win was a great team effort.”
