Kareena made her debut with the film Refugee in 2000 alongside Abhishek Bachchan, and won the Filmfare award in the Best Female Debut category.

This was also the year she appeared in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham with Shah Rukh and Hrithik and her character “Poo” became insanely popular.

Kareena won the Filmfare Award for Special Performance for her role in Chameli and the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for Dev in 2004. She also starred in the comedy Hulchul in the same year, showing her versatility as an actress.

PHOTO COURTESY SANTABANTA.COM.But it was her character in Jab We Met -- the bubbly Geet -- which really turned the tide for her in 2007. No wonder that she won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress, and our hearts, with her brilliant performance in the film.

But she was quick to silence her critics with her performances in Kurbaan and 3 idiots. Kareena was again nominated in the Best Actress category for the Filmfare awards for both these roles.

Her film with Salman, Bodyguard, was a hit, but the one with Shah Rukh, Ra One, bombed at the box office.

Let's see if she is able to reclaim her position as one of the leading actresses on the big screen!
