Two gunmen murder man

GUJRANAWALA:

Two gunmen shot dead a man on Sunday in a village near Hafizabad. A police spokesman said the incident occurred in Channi Ghallah village. “Muhammad Yar, a milkman, had earlier recorded his statement in a murder case. The opposing party had threatened him with dire consequences. On Sunday, he was returning to his village from Vankay Tarar after supplying milk. On the way, he was stopped by accused Saifullah and Naveed. They asked him to withdraw his statement from the case. When he refused, the accused shot him several times and fled away,” the police said. Yar was taken to a local hospital, where doctors referred him to Lahore after his condition deteriorated. He died on the way. Police said they had registered a case against the accused. No arrests have been made so far.
