Karachi Operation : LEAs arrest 17 MQM workers

The party officials said that the workers who were arrested from their homes are being tortured

KARACHI: Seventeen workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement have been arrested by the law enforcement agencies in the past two days, said the Rabita Committee in a press statement on Tuesday. Since the operation started, 40 workers became victims of extra-judicial killings, thousands and have been arrested, dozens have gone missing and there is no end to it, lamented the Rabita Committee officials. Giving details of the workers arrested, the party said that 17 men have been taken from Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, North Karachi, Korangi, Mehmoodabad. The party officials said that the workers who were arrested from their homes are being tortured and there is grave danger to their lives.
