Pakistanis are making it big in Hollywood and among them are visual effects artists who are taking the west by storm. And this list is only growing: Meet Laraib Atta who had her big breakthrough at the age of 19 back in 2006.

Laraib is the daughter of legendary singer Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi. She is Pakistan’s first and the youngest female visual effects artist in Hollywood.

Her filmography includes blockbusters such as X-Men: Days of Future Past, Godzilla, Gravity, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Trader and Prince Caspian, 10, 000 BC and Johnny Depp’s Sweeney Todd.

Laraib has also worked her magic in advertisements for George Micheal, Rolling Stones and Disney and promos including Olympics in China and Nike Football World Cup.

The young visual effects artist has previously worked with BBCGlassworks Barcelona and MPC.

    Ata Ullah Isa Khelvi’s son was my student in a private college in London. He used to hide the fact but everyone (even Bangladeshi students) knew this but we never told him that.
