KARACHI:

A match against arch-rivals India on September 6, Defence Day, has raised the enthusiasm of Major (retd) Hasnain Alam, who is leading the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Team to the five-nation ICRC International Cricket Tournament, set to commence on September 2 at Bangladesh.

The 16-member team will be leaving early Monday morning for Bangladesh from Karachi for the first ever five-nation tournament for people with physical disabilities, being organised by International Committee of the Red Cross in cooperation with the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

“As being associated with the army before, my level of enthusiasm will be higher than a normal match against India and will try to give our best to win,” Alam told The Express Tribune. “We will also have to keep our concentration on the skills needed for the match.”
