Confirming the doctors' report about the health of Godil, LNH spokesperson Anjum Rizvi told The Express Tribune that he will be shifted from the intensive-care unit (ICU) to the ward within two days.
"He is now in a position to be shifted from the ICU, however the doctors are waiting for reports of some of his tests," he said, adding that they will shift Godil after reviewing the reports. Rizvi said that the MNA is not on ventilator and his digestive system is working fine.
Appreciating the efforts of the doctors who are providing medical treatment to Godil, the spokesperson said that the family members of the injured politician are satisfied with the treatment provided at the hospital. According to the hospital sources, Godil is not in the position to talk yet and can only speak very quietly. "It is not an easy task to get a person [injured] with five bullets out of danger but the team did its best," said Rizvi.
Godil, who was attacked by unidentified men on August 18 in Bahadurabad, is admitted under tight security at LNH. Sources said that the hospital management requested the authorities to enhance security around the hospital for the injured politician.
