A three-day training session was held in the city to enable police officials to deal with stressful situations while on duty.

This was mentioned in a statement issued by the department on Sunday.

The training was conducted at School of Investigation in Hayatabad.

It was attended by 30 officials from Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Swabi and Nowshera districts.

During the session, officials were briefed about various techniques to improve concentration and help them remain focused on their responsibilities. They were also encouraged to perform a series of practical exercises to cope with stress.

According to the statement, the session was also aimed at instilling a strong work ethic among police personnel so that they can deal with complainants in an efficient manner. They were also taught how to adopt a gender-sensitive attitude towards the public.

The session was organised by the provincial police department in collaboration with Aitebaar.

Aitebaar is a four-year USAID funded programme implemented in collaboration with the K-P government. It is aimed at strengthening trust between citizens and the government in security and justice sector.
