Solo exhibition of Aftab Ahmed Khan opens at RAC.
The exhibition of over 150 photographs, calligraphy and paintings by the Presidential award winner artist was inaugurated by Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Cabinet Division Javed Ikhlas.
Khan, a retired police officer, has been in this profession for almost 45 years and photography was his first love.
He is a multi-dimensional artist of international fame and has a number of national and international awards to his credit for his works in calligraphy, ceramics, metal work, photography, painting and book writing.
Besides photographs, more than 20 unique art pieces of calligraphy mostly comprising of ‘Khat-e-Nastaleeque’ and ‘Kofi’ were also on display.
The work on paper and gold leaf, oil on canvas, leather work, ceramics work, cut outs and glass work was appreciated by a large number of visitors.
Addressing the ceremony, Ikhlas described the artist as the pride of Pakistan and such genius personalities carve a niche in art world and history in their lifetime. His work has very impressively depicted the beautiful side of Pakistan, he added.
RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed said that it was great honour for the council to organise the exhibition of such a great artist.
The exhibition will remain open for public till August 15.
