HYDERABAD: An anti-terrorism court on Wednesday issued non-bailable warrants for the arrest of the self-exiled chief of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain. The warrants have been issued in two separate FIRs lodged at police stations in Matiari and Tando Allahyar districts. Hussain is accused of making subversive statements, which amount to incitement against the state. Both cases were lodged on July 13, a day after the MQM chief’s July 12 inflammatory speech, by citizens Ubaid Ali and Muhammad Usman. The cases were registered under Sections 124 and 109 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and 6/7 of the Anti Terrorism Act.
