A cleanliness drive was organised at public offices as part of the anti-dengue drive on Sunday. Government offices were cleaned and stagnant water was removed from roofs of the buildings.
All public hospitals of the district were also cleaned during the drive. The Social Welfare and Health Departments arranged awareness programmes on dengue. Workers of the Education Department cleaned areas around public schools. DCO Noorul Amin Mengal directed the departments to enhance the awareness campaign. In a statement, he said the public should be equipped to tackle with a dengue epidemic. He said they should be urged to keep their neighbourhoods clean.
