Business forum: ‘IP pipeline to bring industrial revolution’

APBF President Ibrahim Qureshi said the project was the most feasible financially

LAHORE: The All Pakistan Business Forum (APBF) has welcomed the nuclear deal between Iran and western countries and hoped it will pave the way for implementation of the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project, bound to bring an industrial revolution in Pakistan. APBF President Ibrahim Qureshi said the project was the most feasible financially, as well as from the point of view of proximity, and succumbing to any pressure would further worsen the already crippling power crisis. He said now the supply of gas to Pakistan from Iran could be possible within two years. He, however, asked the government to re-negotiate the gas tariff with Tehran because under a clause of the agreement, the tariff can be re-negotiated one year before the supply resumes. OUR CORRESPONDENT
