According to Oneindia News, Hindu nationalist group Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and its youth wing Bajrang Dal have protested the release of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The group has asked for the title to be changed claiming that it hurts Hindu sentiments.
Threats have been made to launch a massive protest and thwart the screening of the film unless the movie's title is changed. A legal notice has also been sent to Salman and director Kabir Khan demanding that 'Bhaijaan' be removed from the title, besides omitting other objectionable scenes.

Earlier, Bajrang Dal also carried out protests against PK. Salman Khan and Kabir Khan however don't seem bothered by this, Pinkvilla reported.
"If they are a religious group then the basic thing they should know that every religion respects the other person's religion," Salman said at an event where he lauched the Eid song from the film which is titled Aaj Ki Party.
"Every religion preaches only one thing: 'to follow your religion and to be respectful and to respect the other person's beliefs and religion.' I don't think anyone can protest on this," Salman said.
