Pakistan's Ambassador to the United Nations Dr. Maleeha Lodhi has called for children to be "front and centre" of the post-2015 agenda.

“The Sustainable Development goals and post-2015 agenda will improve the lives and change the destinies of millions more children,” she said during her presidential address of the annual session of UNICEF’s Executive Board in New York.

“The post-2015 agenda is a roadmap for future development and it is need to continue to work together for the best interests of the children,” she added.

She emphasised the need to reach all children with interventions in the crucial early years, with nutrition, health care, protection, education and an enabling environment in which their full potential is realised.

UNICEF's Executive Board will review the agency's activities and approves its policies in its annual session.
