After a five-for on his ODI debut, Mustafizur said that: “Mohammad Amir is my idol. I just follow his bowling. His spot-fixing allegations don’t bother me.”

In reply, Aamir said that he felt great when he heard that someone wanted to be a bowler like him.
"I felt so good to hear what Mustafizur had to say,” said Aamir.
“I must say he is set for a great career because he is not an easy bowler to reckon with. He has all the weapons and he appears to have good cricketing sense.”
A left-armer like Aamir, Mustafizur ripped through strong Indian batting line-up in the first two matches of three-ODI series, taking a total of 11 wickets.

Meanwhile, Mustafizur has become the first bowler to bag eleven wickets in his first two ODIs.
“I wanted to perform well on debut. I know only a few have taken five on debut, but all I wanted was to do well against India,” said Mustafizur.
Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza was also all praises for the left-arm 19-year-old quickie.
“Mustafizur was not a surprise for us. We know he can destroy any batsman,” said Mortaza.
