Minister of State for Education Balighur Rehman said on Tuesday that the government had been striving to provide skill development training to youngsters through the Prime Minister’s Youth Development Programme in a bid to secure their livelihoods.


He was addressing at a ceremony organised to distribute certificates among those who had completed courses under the auspices of the programme. Felicitating the students on the occasion, the state minister said the future of the nation was inextricably linked with youngsters’ prosperity. Rehman said the government had been striving for youngsters’ welfare.

The minister said the youth development programme was an exemplary project that was enabling students to secure their livelihoods and stabilise the national economy by facilitating the provision of skill development training.

He said new internship programmes were also being introduced to provide people with technical education. Rehman said monthly scholarships would also be given under the initiative.
