The inauguration ceremony was also attended by TWF Chairperson Syeda Zahra Fatemi, Midori Inomata, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and members of the foundation and civil society.
The ambassador stressed the importance of reliable and affordable medical facilities, especially for suburban communities. He expressed his hope that the project would improve the general welfare of people in the area.
The project was financed through Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects programme. It started working in Pakistan in 1989 and has supported a total of 344 projects in the country with a cumulative grant amount of more than Rs2.3 billion.
