Unnecessary hassle: Man seeks case against motor mechanic

He had paid the mechanic Rs38,000 to fix his car’s air conditioner.

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge sought comments from the Data Darbar SHO on a petition seeking the registration of a case against a motor mechanic who botched a car air conditioner repair job.

Petitioner Faisal Shehzad said that he had paid the proprietor of Mashallah Car AC Centre Rs38,000  to get his car’s AC fixed. He said that proprietor had assured him that he could bring back the AC if it stopped working again. He said the motor mechanic had done a bad job of fixing the AC and it had stopped working a few days later.

He said that he returned to the workshop and complained about the AC but the proprietor insisted that it worked fine and that he would not fix it for him.  Shehzad said that when he insisted that the proprietor fix the AC, he beat him up and damaged his car. He said that he complained about it to the police but the SHO refused to register a case against the proprietor.
