CHARSADDA: Police in Charsadda foiled a terror bid on Saturday and defused a 14kg suicide jacket as well as a separate three-kilogramme bomb attached to a timer. DPO Shafiullah said at a press briefing on Saturday the force received a tip-off about a huge cache of explosives hidden along the Swat River bank in Khyali. Prang police searched the area and found some suspicious looking bags. The bomb disposal unit was called in; they found the explosives and defused them. The DPO awarded an appreciation certificate to Prang SHO Ghafirullah and his staff.
