Famous fashion designer Maheen Khan will open her exhibition, Gulabo, at Nomad Gallery today (Saturday).

Gulabo—a Truck Art inspired, high street fashion brand—also includes range of scarves and tote bags. The gallery’s director Nageen Hyat, lauding the exhibition, said “Maheen’s cuts are brilliant and her sense of fun, unwavering! We are pleased to collaborate and exhibit this inspiring, fun collection for all ages….trendy and so local”.

Khan is Pakistan’s foremost fashion designer who founded the first Luxury Pret brand in 1984. The prolific designer was the first to realise the beauty of truck art prevalent on the roads of Pakistan. Her second brand Gulabo was founded in 2007.

She is the recipient of many awards, the most recent being from the Government of Pakistan for her role in founding the fashion industry and spearheading the first fashion council and fashion week in Karachi.

The two-day exhibition will be open to public from 11am to 7pm at House 72, Street 32, Sector F-6/1.
