Economic Corridor: President reiterates commitment

Says the economic corridor would be instrumental in ushering a revolution which would benefit the entire region

KARACHI: President Mamnoon Hussain on Saturday said that Pakistan and China were entering a new phase after the Pak-China Economic Corridor. Highlighting the importance of the economic corridor, he said it would be instrumental in ushering a revolution which would benefit the entire region. The president was talking to a delegation of local businessmen, including Haroon Agar, Raoof Aziz and Hanif Lakhani, at the State Guest House. President Mamnoon underlined the need for developing standard infrastructure to make Pakistan one of the most attractive places for tourists in a couple of years. The government and armed forces, he added, were jointly fighting terrorism in the country and incurring positive results. The president said the government was working under a comprehensive strategy to provide soft loans to the people for economic stability.
