In court: SHC hears petition on toll tax

He pleaded the court issue orders to lower the rate.

HYDERABAD: The Sindh High Court on Tuesday admitted a petition challenging the collection of high toll tax on the Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas Road. The petitioner, maintained that a sum of Rs50 is being charged on the road while the tax on the longer Super Highway between Karachi and Hyderabad was only Rs35. He pleaded the court issue orders to lower the rate. The court ordered the Sindh works and services department, provincial highways chief engineer and project director of the road to submit replies at the next hearing.
