The PIA have shifted the grieving family to an airport hotel

KARACHI: An elderly woman died at the Karachi Airport while boarding a Multan-bound plane at around 2:15pm on Friday. Jandan Bai, 65, arrived in Karachi from Jeddah on Friday morning after performing Umrah. She was returning on flight, PK-332, to her hometown, Multan, with her family when she fainted while boarding the aircraft. Pakistan International Airline (PIA) officials immediately called in an ambulance but the medical staff of the airline had already pronounced her dead. The PIA have shifted the grieving family to an airport hotel. As per policy, PIA will carry the body free-of-charge to Multan on the next available flight.
