2010 FLOOD VICTIMS: Turkish organisation sets up model village
Forty houses have been handed over to the displaced, while an additional 51 will be constructed.
Turkish organisation Yardi Milli has established a model village for 2010 flood affectees in Charsadda. A three-member delegation from the organisation met Minister for Finance Muzaffar Said, Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Inayatullah Khan and other provincial government representatives on Sunday. Forty houses have been handed over to the displaced, while an additional 51 will be constructed. The village comprises of health, education and sanitation facilities while the organisation has been paying a stipend of Rs5,000 per month to over 150 families for the past five years. The ministers lauded the efforts of Yardi Milli and assured full support in all welfare projects in the pipeline.
