PESHAWAR: A Hindu woman has gone missing from the city and her family believes she has been kidnapped. All Pakistan Hindu Rights Movement Chairman Haroon Sarbdyal told The Express Tribune on Thursday that Sanwri Samitra, a resident of Gulgasht Colony in Banamarhi, went towards Al Asar School in Kotla Mohsin Khan on February 24 to pay the school fees of her children and did not return. According to Sarbdyal, Samitra’s sister called her and when Samitra answered she was crying and unable to speak. The phone was then snatched from Samitra and switched off, said the Hindu leader. Sarbdyal added the police have only filed a roznamcha report instead of registering an FIR. “We think she has been kidnapped and the police need to take concrete steps to rescue her as soon as possible,” he said.
