As per the shift in the government’s policy regarding Afghan refugees, the district administration has decided to house all registered refugees in a camp and deport those who do not possess valid documents.

The decision was made in a high-level meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Naeem Anwar Sadozai on Wednesday. Participants at the meeting also discussed the law and order situation in the area.

At the end of the meeting, assistant commissioners Abdul Ghafoor Shah and Jamaluddin said Afghan refugees possessing Proof of Registration (PoR) will be housed in a camp at Khesari Band near Hangu. The district administration will be responsible for facilities at the camp, they added.
