LONDON: Former Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr says she follows a balanced diet, but allows ‘healthy’ indulgences during the day. “I live by the philosophy of 80/20, meaning I eat healthily 80 per cent of the time and indulge 20 per cent of the time. For an everyday treat, I cook gluten-free muffins with blueberries and chia seeds,” says the 31-year-old, reported Daily Mail.

The supermodel, who clocked in deals with Reebok, H&M and Swarovski last year, also likes to prepare her own health drinks and guilt-free snacks.  “I enjoy so many super-foods such as noni juice, which is one of the key ingredients in my skincare line Kora Organics.”  Founded in 2009, KORA Organics is an organic skin care and organic body care line created by Kerr herself.

“I also make my own super-food smoothie with maca powder, acai powder, spirulina, cacao powder, coconut oil and chia seeds, which is alkalizing and nutrient dense. Avocado is also great for skin health and I probably have half an avocado a day,” she added.

Kerr, who has a four-year-old son Flynn with actor and former husband Orlando Bloom, complements her balanced diet with a serious fitness regime. She said she prefers to do some form of exercise every day.

“It’s a combination of either yoga, pilates, resistance training or something with my son such as hiking or riding our bikes. I also like jumping on the little mini trampolines too. It’s a really good way to stimulate the lymphatic system and it lifts your mood,” she concluded.

I know how difficult it can be with fighting weight problems. Trust me, it is something I've struggled with my whole life. What is right for one might not be right for another, and so forth.

What personally worked wonders for me was the no sugar detox one. I know it sounds basic, but oh god I thank it everyday. Really, because it worked for getting into the right mindset as you saw instant progress and that kept me going for sure.

It's so so good for starting off with. Really recommend it, www.prowellfitness.com/excersise/21-day-sugar-detox/
