Ten employees of the US Consulate staff were part of the intriguing video, which seemed like an attempt by the US embassy to soften the image of staff working in Pakistan. Puzzled by the texture and look of the treat, the employees at first seemed perplexed over how to attempt to eat the savoury dish.

One employee said, "I think you pour the sauce in the centre," while another described how they looked like a "bird's nest".
Despite the apparent confusion and initial hesitancy, a majority of the employees liked the taste of the dish and used an interesting variety of words to describe the taste. Crispy, sour, spicy and crunchy were just some of them.
One employee even termed it a "chick-pea surprise" while another sang a melodic number about the snack, singing "gol gappay wala aya"

America is beautiful. And it is incredibly diverse. Even here you can see a glimpse of that diversity.
This is so cute! Thanks ET for covering it as well. The guy who sang a portion of a song at the end is so cute as well and has a great voice! He can have his own music career!
A video of personal touch is uploaded by the Americans but it's going to take a long time to develope confidence with Pakistanis.
People of Pakistan have learn a lot from previous dealings of US, precisely to say US left Pakistan alone after the withdrawal of Russian troop which pushed the hardliners of Afghanistan to conduct terrorist activities in Pakistan.
Now again Pakistan has gone an extra mile after 9/11 attacks and supported US in its war on terror in Pakistan. This has led to killings of uncounted innocent Pakistanis by Al-Qaeda, Taliban and TTP.
The time is back for the US forces to withdraw from Afghanistan and people of Pakistan would like wait and see behaviour and attitude of the US Administration with Pakistan.
Hope this time US will not led Pakistan down.
Do you guys remember when foreigners loved coming to Pakistan?
And went back with fantastic experiences/stories about the country?
Where did we go wrong?
I am really glad the Americans put that video out - thank god its about something positive to do with Pakistan.
We need to welcome and look after foreigners - not put them in orange suits and decapitate them!
Can we please get back to Qaid E Azam's Pakistan!!!
one of these guys tuk my interview in islamabad! gave me a visa thou:)
The last guy looks cute singing "Gol gappay wala aaya" :D
That was funny. More such videos will hopefully break the ice between Pakistani people and American govt (that is, if the long visa queues don't :P)
