News Desk January 01, 2015

The deputy commissioner of Peshawar has imposed Section 144 on renting out property to foreigners for two months. According to a handout issued on Thursday, landowners and tenants will have to submit agreement papers with the police and housing authority before allowing the tenant to stay. Those who violate the prohibition will be booked under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Meanwhile, the DC has also imposed a ban on pillion riding for two days, starting January 3, on account of Eid Miladun Nabi. Furthermore, a ban on aerial firing and kite flying has also been imposed in areas adjacent to Bacha Khan International Airport.
