MUZAFFARABAD: A 12-year-old Indian girl, Nasreen, was handed back over to Indian authorities on Monday afternoon in Chakoti, according to ISPR.

Nasreen inadvertently crossed the Line of Control (LoC) between India and Pakistan on December 26 in the Haji Pir Sector.

Earlier, during the year, the Indian army resorted to ‘unprovoked’ firing near the border, violating the ceasefire.

Pakistani troops responded befittingly to Indian firing and over 21 people were killed reportedly on the Pakistani side.
