LARKANA: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) observed the seventh death anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto on Saturday, Radio Pakistan reported.

Quran and Fateha Khawani was held at her mausoleum in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh in Larkana this morning.

In a notification issued by the labour department of Sindh Government on Friday, a public holiday was announced on December 27 for all workers on account of their former leader's death anniversary.

PPP Punjab will also organize a central ceremony at its offices in Lahore, Rawalpindi and southern Punjab to pay tributes to Bhutto for her services to democracy.

On December 27, 2007, Benazir Bhutto was killed in a gun and suicide bomb attack after an election rally in Rawlapindi, weeks after she returned to Pakistan from years in self-imposed exile.
