‘Kidnapping’: Student goes missing

Student, identified as Umair Ali, was dropped at the college by his father but did not return home

ISLAMABAD:

A college student has gone missing from the Industrial Area police limits.

The student, who was identified as Umair Ali, was dropped at the college by his father, Javed Iqbal, but did not return home in the evening. The father after exhausting all options to locate his son has approached the police to help in his recovery.

Iqbal told the police that Ali’s mobile was turned off since he went missing. He suspected that he might have been kidnapped for ransom. The police have registered a case and further investigation is under way.
