Sadiq had sought contempt charges against the judge, stating that the verdict of the tribunal was in violation of the Supreme Court’s earlier judgment.
The case, which was taken up on the plea of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, was inordinately delayed after Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Sadiq, who won the NA-122 seat, obtained a stay order from the LHC.
The LHC dismissed Sadiq’s plea on November 20, allowing the tribunal to finally proceed with the case.
Further, the tribunal had asked the LHC registrar for a safe place to inspect the NA-122 poll records, and issued a detailed verdict observing that around 10 policemen would be needed to provide 24-hour security to ensure the poll record was not tampered with before or during inspection.

Now I think he should go to Supreme court and if gets rejected from there then he can appeal president for a presidential pardon..they are making joke of electoral system in Pakistan and this is the only reason why Imran khan and PTI are gaining popularity as they are the only one in the whole country who want to to get rid of this system but the PML N and status co is more interested in spreading anarchy and violence in the country then , and they better should be as if once it is done we all know where they are going to land, whole country agrees that there was massive irregularity and rigging in 2013 elections but when it comes to probe and investigate it they try to hide behind the law and justice system..
@Ch Allah Daad: So, what's wrong when boats rule the world on technicalities? Why do we cry foul then?
@Ch Allah Daad: What's wrong with using his fundamental rights? Have you heard of the phrase: The emperor has no clothes? Ayaz Sadiq has lost all moral grounds for sitting in the chair of the speaker. In this atmosphere when everyone has accepted the elections were rigged, he had an opportunity to show that HE did not win his seat and thus the speakership fraudulently. Instead he chose to hide behind stay order and is using every tactic not to allow the truth to come out. PMLN is morally bankrupt and these tactics have shown their true faces. The emperor has no clothes!
@Ch Allah Daad: what fundamental right are you talking about.To stay speaker of NA and delay justice by taking stay order against vote recounting. Please don't support a person in his wrong doing.Be honest in your opinion.Allah will question you one day for supporting dishonest speaker of Islamic republic of Pakistan.
@Ch Allah Daad:
first he takes a stay order & delays counting, then when it is dismissed, he again challenges it, does he not know that no order of election tribunal be challenged in the court ? even, SC has dismissed similar petitions, so why his attorneys misguiding ? just because he is exercising his right, he should do so knowing fully well the pitfalls & exposing himself to more criticism. If he is so confident of winning, why is he playing with fire, it will burn him, insha Allah.
If the so called speaker had honour or had any sense of parliamentary traditions, he should have resigned much earlier. These power grabbers are in to make money together. They must GO...
@raider: This is not a game of Cricket unless we have a proper investigation we can't stop future Dhandli What kind of Democracy actually wants rigged Elections
@Ch Allah Daad: is it fundamental right once you win then don't let you be inquired any more either it is rigged or fair,it means once u win by either source it is win,
it would be another drama played with nation,game is very long and deep SC is there to give stay,
This is a matter of great conceren for the whole nation.if the election is not rigged then why the govt is hesitating in forming a judicial commission as lmran khan has all ready clarified if the govt forms judicial commission they will not observe their 18 DEC protest .I think there is something at the bottom that's why Mr speaker is afraid if he is clear he must himself offer the pti for recounting and finish the uncertinity situation in the country.if the rigging is proved then what will be the future of this govt.link text
Ayaz Sadiq please have someone set fire to the bags. No bags no counting and you can keep sitting in your fake seat.
@Ch Allah Daad: whatever!!
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOURS AND OURS DEMOCRACY. This is YOUR Speaker of YOUR HONOURABLE assembly. Difference between Dictatorship and Democracy starts from "VOTE" and "VOTE" is the foundation stone of Democracy BUT we have been pressed to accept this FRAUD DEMOCRACY by STATUS QUO.
Ayaz Sadiq is exercising his fundamental right, whats wrong in it?
Is this called democracy Ayaz Sadiq when you are called for accountability and you challenge your accountability in any court for defence and staying in the office for long and long time?If this is so then this the most shameful and darkest side of the democracy you love and like to choose and do according to your own wishes.....
Many avenues are still open for Mr. Speaker including Supreme Court of Pakistan, Office of the President and International Court of Justice. Just don't let the counting done as it will hurt democracy.
I don't pity the Speaker, what ever he is doing is to save his seat. The people whom i really pity on are the followers of people like Ayaz Sadiq and Nawaz Shareef.
The bags may have been tampered with...but whos to say WHO tampered with them? IK states he has a "hunch" theyve been tampered with because people told him! I dont know whos mocking the judiciary anymore...with this testimony, ruling in IKs favour was extremely biased.
Well done LHC.
Even if heavens fall and the votes do get counted half the bags will be missing and rest will be filled with un-traceable votes. End result 0/0 and he will keep on sitting shamelessly on the speaker's chair to save democracy and the debating club.
@naeem khan: This is typical of PMLN supporter.Do a crime and than blame agencies for it.
The democracy is in danger, the bags should not be opened even if they have to go to the international courts. LOL!
We the peoples of Islamic Republic Of Pakistan today 16th of December 1971 lost our HALF the East Pakistan was gone, due to wrong doings of our politicians, today 16th December 2014 we are still in practical same trouble JUSTICE is no where we are still looking for INSAF, good news is that peoples are awake and alert, Zindadilane LAHORE has proven with PTI Imran Khan that Peoples of Ir Pakistan are in total control of the situation with the peoples of Ir Pakistan and Allah swt's help nothing wrong will happen against anything and Ir Pakistan is in secure hands Alhamdoulillah, Long Live Islamic Republic Of Pakistn, Go Nawaz Go
Mr speaker how long you will continue to drag your feet in providing justice.Sooner or later public will come to know that you won the election by fraud.If you had any moral values,you would have resigned and pave way for vote recount of NA 122.
Now our fake Speaker will go to Supreme Court and then will approach to International Court.
the bags have been already tempered with by the agencies so that is why IK has insisted on opening them
So scare of counting, so scared of counting... Justice will find you soon.
Will Ayaz Sadiq now be applying to SC to save his hide?
Ok. Now try SC but don't let recount otherwise it will be shame for democrazy.
