Baqai Medical University awarded degrees to 1,038 graduates at its eighth convocation on Monday.
The graduation ceremony, held at the university campus, hosted students who had graduated from medicine, dental surgery, pharmacy and allied medical disciplines. In addition, 60 students were awarded PhD, MPhil and business administration degrees.
Scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, the keynote speaker at the ceremony, told the graduating students that the convocation only marks the beginning of their learning. “Your real challenge begins now as you utilise the skills that you have acquired to make this world a better, more humane and more tolerant place,” he said.
