Attack on blind protesters

Letter December 04, 2014
It seems that the only people who can get rights in this country are families with a legacy of dynastic politics

LAHORE: The ruthless Lahore police were seen to manhandle blind people who were protesting against injustice on the streets. Many of these people braved serious physical assault at the hands of the police.

This is indeed a sad state of affairs — it seems that this country is not meant for all our people, certainly not for the minorities or the disabled. It seems that the only people who can get any rights in this country are families with a legacy of dynastic politics and looting. Things seem to be getting worse. Will this nation ever wake up?
