48th anniversary: PPP observes foundation day

MUZAFFARABAD:

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter on Sunday marked the party’s foundation day with a ‘pledge to work for the welfare of the marginalised’.

AJK Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Shaheen Kausar Dar on Sunday cut a ceremonial cake at the assembly hostel to mark the 48th foundation day of the party. A large number of party workers were present on the occasion.

Dar said PPP founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had established the party to empower the poor and his vision and mission will be carried forward. The foundation day was also celebrated in other cities of the region, including Mirpur, Kotli, Bagh and Rawalakot.
